Privacy Policy

AI for Actual Work is a free learning platform operated by Remote Europe Holding, B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands under number 76348946, at Kraijenhoffstraat 137A, 1018RG Amsterdam, the Netherlands ("we", "our"). We collect the minimum we need to run it and to see which lessons work, and nothing more. This page explains exactly what that is.

What we store

• Your email address. We use it to sign you in (we email you a sign-in link) and to identify your account.
• Your lesson progress and enrollments. Which lessons you have completed and when you started or finished a course, so you can pick up where you left off.
• Usage events. A first-party record of what happens in the product, tied to your account: which pages and lessons you open, quiz outcomes, and which sign-in method you used, with a timestamp. We use it only to understand which lessons work and fix the ones that don't.
• Analytics. We process your IP address and device/browser information via Google Analytics.
• Where you signed up from. If you arrive from a link that carries campaign tags (utm_*) or a referral, we store those tags with your registration so we know which channels bring people in.

We do not collect your name, payment details, device fingerprint, or precise location.

Why we store

Performance of a contract. Where we process data to perform our contract with you (e.g. providing course access), providing this information is necessary. Without this data, we cannot provide our online learning platform services.

Legitimate interests. We process data when it is necessary for our legitimate business interests (e.g. service maintenance, improvement, and promotion) provided those interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights. You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. To run the platform we rely on a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions:

• Cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services, EU region) — stores the database that runs the app.
• Email delivery — sends your sign-in and account emails.
• Google Analytics — receives pseudonymous usage data (pages viewed, device/browser type, a randomly-generated client ID) to help us understand product usage.

Those process data on our behalf and keep it in the EEA. Where this is not the case, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework ("EU-US DPF") active participation of the service providers. Separately, the monospace typeface used for code and prompts loads from Google Fonts: your browser fetches it directly from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request. Cookies

We use strictly-necessary cookies: a signed session cookie to keep you signed in, an optional "remember me" cookie if you choose it, and your light/dark theme preference saved in your browser. Where there are advertising, analytics, or third-party cookies that are optional, we will seek your consent.

Google Analytics sets third-party cookies (_ga, _ga_<container-id>) purely for analytics. You can accept or reject Google Analytics cookies at any time. Read how Google will use personal data when you give consent on our website: Google's Business Data Responsibility Site .

What we never do

• No ads.
• No selling your data.
• No advertising or cross-site tracking.
• We may send you marketing emails we find relevant for you, with the option to opt out anytime.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your usage events are de-identified in the same moment: the link to your account is removed, so only anonymous aggregate counts remain.

Your data and your rights

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. That immediately and permanently removes your email, enrollments, and all lesson progress, and de-identifies your usage events as described above.

You also have the right to access a copy of your data, to correct it, and to object to processing. Where we process your data based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. No automated decisions involved and no profiling.

To exercise any of these, reach us through the "Report a problem" button on any lesson, and we will handle it. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Our services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at aiforactualwork@remote.com and we will promptly delete it.
